Day 1: Fly to Lalibela & Northern Church Group
Take a morning flight to the holy city of Lalibela. After checking into your hotel, spend the afternoon visiting the Northern Group of churches, including the massive Bete Medhane Alem and the historic Bete Maryam, believed to contain the tomb of King Lalibela.
Day 2: Second Group of Churches & Departure
In the morning, enjoy a mule ride or hike to the 13th-century monastery of Asheton Mariam. After lunch, explore the Western Group, featuring the iconic cross-shaped Bete Giyorgis (Saint George), followed by the Eastern Group’s royal chapels and palaces before your evening flight back to Addis Ababa.
