Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Semera – Lake Afdera – Hamed Ela
Begin your journey with a short domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Semera, the gateway to the Danakil region.
Drive through the Afar lowlands toward Hamed Ela (approx. 5–6 hours). On the way, stop at Lake Afdera—a natural salt lake where you can enjoy a relaxing swim and lunch break.
